On October 19, 2024, the Peace and Friendship Stadium in Piraeus, Greece, buzzed with excitement as it hosted the inaugural EURO Teq Games Tournament. Organized by Olympiacos under the auspices of the Municipality of Piraeus and as part of the European Erasmus+ program, this international Teqball tournament brought together top athletes from six European countries for a thrilling day of competition.

The atmosphere was electric as athletes from various backgrounds gathered, their faces radiating enthusiasm and determination. For many, this was their first international Teqball tournament, and for most of them, it was their first tournament experience altogether, as since this project got them introduced to teqball. The event featured 22 athletes and six coaches from six partner clubs, competing across four categories: men’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. With a total of 40 matches played, the tournament showcased the burgeoning popularity of Teqball across Europe.

As the matches unfolded, spectators were treated to a unique spectacle of skill and sportsmanship. The energy in the stadium was palpable, with cheers and encouragement echoing throughout the venue. Athletes displayed remarkable talent and camaraderie, demonstrating the core values of Teqball: cooperation, solidarity, and fair play.

In the final matches, Lazio’s team triumphed, claiming first place in both singles and doubles categories, while Hask Mladost celebrated victory in the mixed doubles. The award ceremony was a moment of pride and joy, attended by representatives from sports authorities, the Municipality of Piraeus, and the organizing committee. The smiles on the faces of the winners and participants alike reflected the spirit of the event, with many athletes expressing their excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to compete at an international level.
