On September 29, 2023, the Hall of Peace and Friendship in Piraeus, Greece, served as the venue for an important inter-partner meeting for the Euro Teq Games project. This gathering brought together various project partners to review their progress, share valuable experiences, and outline plans for the future.
Highlights of the Meeting
- TeqSport Activities Update: Each partner provided a brief update on their TeqSport activities over the past few months, sharing insights into their experiences and the progress made in promoting and implementing TeqSport within their respective regions.
- Communication and Dissemination: A key focus of the meeting was to enhance project promotion and communication strategies. Partners engaged in discussions about methods to improve the visibility and reach of the TeqSport initiative, ensuring a broader impact across communities.
- Implementation of Activities: Several key activities were reviewed and planned, including:
- Coaching Courses and Certification: All partners will conduct coaching courses, supplemented by an online workshop led by an expert partner, with certification provided by the FiTeq organization for all participating coaches.
- Open Days: Parents and children will be invited to play various Teq sports, with an emphasis on raising awareness about the nutritional benefits of an active lifestyle.
- Club Team Training: This ongoing initiative aims to foster continuous improvement and engagement among participants.
- Collection of Best Practices: Partners will gather and document effective practices within the project to share knowledge and enhance implementation.
- International TeqGames Tournament: Discussions also included practical matters related to the upcoming International TeqGames Tournament. Organizational details were arranged, such as setting dates, choosing a location, coordinating with partners, and addressing logistical aspects. Strategies for promoting the tournament, managing participant registrations, and ensuring adequate infrastructure for all attendees were also deliberated. Furthermore, activities aimed at increasing the event’s visibility and engaging volunteers were planned to ensure a successful execution of the tournament.
The meeting concluded with an open forum, allowing partners to raise additional topics and share comments on various matters.
