Today, S.S. Lazio Teqball held its second open day and awareness-raising session at Liceo Scientifico Plinio Seniore in Rome, Italy, as part of the EU Teq Games project co-funded by the European Union. Led by Head Coach Giovanni Ieradi and professional players, the event engaged over 150 students in a dynamic training session that lasted more than six hours, showcasing their enthusiasm and skill in learning how to play Teqball.

To support the ongoing practice and development of the sport, S.S. Lazio Teqball provided Liceo Scientifico Plinio with two teqlite tables and essential equipment. This allows students to play and practice regularly, fostering a love for the game. Additionally, students are invited to the S.S. Lazio Teqball facilities for free practice sessions, encouraging continued participation.

President Andrea Paolini highlighted the project’s sustainability, stating, “It is crucial to ensure the longevity of this initiative. That’s why we plan to visit the school regularly to assist with training sessions.” He also noted that S.S. Lazio Teqball has successfully helped seven physical education teachers obtain their first-level coaching certificates, officially recognized by the International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ).

This open day exemplifies S.S. Lazio Teqball’s commitment to promoting Teqball and its variants while emphasizing the importance of sustainable practices in youth sports.
